KARYTAINA
Karytaina is a village of Gortynia area at Arcadia. It is built on a hilltop around a medieval castle. It is located at the place where the ancient city Vrenthis stood. The settlement distinguished particularly for its medieval character which it is given by the houses, the castle and the Byzantine churches.
Karytaina has declared preserved traditional settlement, because of the medieval castle feeling of the area. The main attraction is the castle, built on top of a hill overlooking the village. It has a height of over 110 meters and a width of over 40. Its walls reach a height of up to 7 meters and width up to 2 meters. Karytaina flows near the river Alpheus, which forms a grand canyon at the west of Karytaina, contributing to the natural fortifications of the area. Over the Alpheus, near Karytaina, two traditional bridges, the bridge of Koukos and the bridge of Karytaina have been rescued.

DIMITSANA
Dimitsana is built on hill’s tops, at an altitude of 950 meters, from the southern side of which, provide wonderful views of the valley of Megalopolis and of Mount Taygetos. It is the center of the municipality of Dimitsana. The city’s story begins in Homeric times, when at the same position was the small town of Arcadia, Tefthis .
Dimitsana during the Turkish occupation had an important role, with the "secret school" and in 1821 with "Dimitsanitiko gunpowder" that was brewing there. It is home to the national martyr Patriarch Gregory V, the statue of whom dominates the central square of the village. The statue was donated by Maraslis and Palaion Patron Germanos, both of whose houses survived.
At the museum, which is housed in Dimitsana’s Library..., are exposed weavings, looms, folk art and an archaeological collection. Just outside Dimitsana there is an Outdoor Water Power Museum, where one can see traditional water-powered plant, which was formerly widespread in the region

ANDRITSENA
Andritsaina is built in a green hillside on the west side of Mount Lykaion, near the borders of the prefectures Arcadia and Messinia. It is a town with a long history ... developed during Frankish rule (12th-13th century AD.) and is mentioned in the Chronicle of Moreas. Andritsaina had an important role during the Greek Revolution. In 1826 the city was destroyed by the troops of Ibrahim.
According to the tradition, Andritsaina named after the wife of a Cretan shepherd named Andritsos or Andrikos, who was driven by a ram at a spring near a tree at Lykaion term. There he built an inn, which was maintained by his widow Andrikaina after his death. The widow’s name, was converted according to the local accesnt, and the inn was named "the inn of Andritsaina." When they started to build houses around the inn, the village was named "Andritsaina."
